Last month, the news came that the Feed-In Tariff cuts would not come until at least March and thus the industry expects to see a ‘gold rush’ as homeowners look to install solar panels before the cut off point.

The subsidy cut was set to come about in December. The announcement however was unexpected and thus deemed illegal. As a result, the Court of Appeal ruled the cuts would come not until at least March.

Any homeowner who has solar panels fitted in their home before March will benefit from the higher Feed-In Tariff which currently stands at 43.3p per kilowatt whilst any homeowner who installs their solar panels after the given date will earn just 21p per kilowatt.
